15 Learning Outcomes Assessment & eLumen: Overview

Course Learning Outcomes are measurable statements that formally announce what knowledge and skills learners will acquire upon the completion of a course. They are meant to guide student expectations in exiting a class and, as such, should drive curriculum development and course content.

CLOs are measured using rubrics built into the eLumen assessment management system. The assessment practices are created and maintained by each discipline.

We assess proficiency in Course Learning Outcomes for every student in every class each semester. This assessment is collected in the eLumen software.
