7 Help with Student Crisis or Conduct
There are two main ways to get help with a classroom conduct or student crisis issue. Never hesitate to reach out to your Department Head or Dean for dialogue and assistance.
CAREs Report
- A CAREs Report at Pima Community College is designed for students (and potentially employees) seeking support for personal challenges, academic concerns, or immediate crisis response. It is a way to communicate the need for counseling or to connect with college resources and external support organizations for issues like substance abuse, anger management, relationships, abuse, assault, and other personal challenges. Students can fill out a CARE Report form to initiate contact with the counseling department and to be referred to appropriate resources.
ODR Incident Report
- ODR Incident Report likely refers to a process for reporting incidents related to discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment under Title IX), or other disputes that may arise within the college. This type of report is associated with complaints concerning protected characteristics (such as sex, race, disability, etc.) and is handled by the Office of Dispute Resources (ODR) and/or Title IX Coordinator. The ODR Incident Report is meant to formally address violations of college policy and law, including investigations and resolutions, rather than simply providing resource referrals.
