Empowering Pima’s online students through proactive one-on-one coaching sessions and other virtual learner-centered engagement activities that focus on online learner success. Coaches provide tailored resources and guidance to foster an environment where learners can thrive in their online academic journey at Pima.

Strategic Goals

Help students who are struggling in their course by:

• Offering tailored one-on-one sessions for general online students support
• Offering academic workshops that help students to develop online success skills in a group setting
• Sharing resources that support student success at key benchmarks throughout their semester

Support online student belongingness by:

• Showcasing spaces and activities that increase student engagement and connection
• Developing engaging online student activities
• Being a single point of contact that student can rely on for college and community resources

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

1. Second Semester Enrollment Rate: Ensure 65% or more of online learners engaging with success coaches enroll in a second semester at Pima from spring to fall. Table 8 in grant write-up.
2. Completion and Graduation Rate: Attain a completion and graduation rate of 13.3% or higher among online learners who regularly meet with success coaches. Table 4 in grant write-up.
3. Academic Performance Increase: Achieve a 7% or greater increase in academic performance among students who interact with online success coaches compared to their less-engaged peers. Table 8 in grant write-up.
4. Engagement and Empowerment: Obtain a positive response rate of 85% or more on satisfaction surveys regarding engagement and empowerment for students regularly interacting with online success coaches compared to their less-engaged counterparts. Table 8 in grant write-up.
