COACHING MODEL
Coaches respond to coaching referrals raised in PimaConnect by faculty as part of an early alert system, while also reviewing student academic data and participation in the D2L course using the Class Progress tool to identify where early intervention may be needed for certain students or student groups. Coaches create workshops and outreach campaigns to support their cohort of students. Coaches have the autonomy to research new practices that support online learner success, engagement, and community-building. With support from the program coordinator and course instructors, coaches employ these strategies with their cohort of students.
