Chapter 13 Introduction

In our final module we discuss our role in the arts and consider the importance of having and preserving our cultural heritage. Additional topics covered are; the purpose and roles of Art Museums, the importance of funding for the arts, activities of censorship, some of the prominent and controversial restorations that have been undertaken and finally, we end with a powerful and emotional video by Performance Artist, Marina Abramovic, called “A Minute of Silence.”
